JFRD Event: Hurricane/Storm Preparedness and the Importance of Smoke Detectors (and a fire truck will be at the event!)

JFRD will be speaking to residents on what we can do in Saddlewood to help them respond faster in the event of a hurricane or severe storm. Downed trees, limbs, and damaged fences can mean the difference in responding in seconds to minutes or even hours.

JFRD will also be providing tips on the importance of smoke detector maintenance, replacements, and checking that they are operational on a regular basis. They will also be providing City resource recommendations that can help with smoke detectors if residents are unable to reach high places in their homes or otherwise need assistance to replace.
